You can live a life free from demonic oppressions! This free devotional will show you how.
When the Israelites left the land of Egypt, God did not lead them through the most accessible and shortest way to their promised land. If He had done that, Pharaoh would have caught up with them. And they would not have learned specific spiritual lessons on the way. Instead, the Lord led them through the Red Sea. Crossing the Red Sea marked an absolute victory as it was where Pharaoh finally surrendered. Apostle Paul referred to the crossing of the Red Sea as a baptism as it symbolizes what water baptism does for our salvation. (1 Corinthians 10:2 NIV)
Christ faced a seemingly impossible mission: He couldn’t have fulfilled his earthly mission, no matter how holy he was. The devil was aware of this. The devil knew that even though Jesus performed numerous miracles, his physical body would remain after his death. We see this when the devil asserts ownership of Moses’s body. (Jude 9 NIV)
The path of Christ was filled with obstacles and seemed unattainable, but God sent someone before him to clear the way, (Luke 3:4 NIV). This helps us to understand why John the Baptist and Jesus were born around the same time, (Luke 1:35–38 NIV).
John’s role was more than that of a prophet. He had a specific mission: to prepare the way for Christ by making every obstacle in the path straight, as written: “…I send my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.” (Luke 7:24–27 NIV)
Christ became a sinner because of our sins. (2 Corinthians 5:21 NIV) If He became a sinner; how did the power of the resurrection occur in Him? It can only happen in a holy one, for it is written, “Because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay.” (Acts 2:27 NIV) Christ became a sinner because of our sins, so the sacrifice was first for him and then for us, as it is written in Hebrews 5:3 (NIV).
Although God forgives sin, He does not forgive guilt. (Exodus 34:7 KJV) “The soul that sins must perish.” (Ezekiel 18:4 KJV) The guilty must be condemned.
What is guilt? It is the responsibility for wrongdoing. So, while God may forgive your sin, the fact that you are the one who committed that sin can never be changed as long as you exist (whether dead or alive).
Christ’s spirit was holy since he was born free from the spirit of sin (John 14:30 NIV) as he was not the true son of Joseph. Therefore, the sins were placed on his soul. John’s baptism renewed his soul as for Naaman, the Syrian. (2 Kings 5:10, 13, 14 NIV)
Water baptism is a symbol that protects our souls spiritually (1 Corinthians 15:19 NIV) and makes us invisible to the evil worlds. As the guilty soul is buried in that water, a new one arises and walks in mystery. Our soul is dead to that spiritual realm—unreachable.
Water baptism is mandatory for a complete salvation. (Acts 2:38 NIV; John 3:5 NIV).There are three (on earth) that bears witness (shows) that we are saved: Blood (repentance), Spirit (new life) and water (water baptism), 1 John 5:8, (KJV). For the same reason, Apostle John insisted that blood and water came out from Jesus’ body (John 19: 34-35, KJV).
Every spiritually wise person knows the importance of water baptism. How is it that in Christianity, people still get manipulated about its importance? Water baptism is even used in some spiritual rituals (in the world) to cause people to be seen as dead (inexistent) by sorcerers in the spiritual realm.
Let’s embrace our new identity and guiltless renewed soul. We are invisible to evil schemes in the spiritual realm. The guilty soul is dead and buried, and from the waters emerges a new soul, now walking the golden streets of the New Jerusalem (Christianity).
