If you’ve successfully discovered the type of fasting that matches your body’s strength, long fasts won’t be a struggle.

It is written:
“Before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
(Isaiah 65:24 NIV)

When Daniel began fasting, God heard him and sent an answer. But the angel carrying that answer was delayed by evil forces that didn’t want the response to manifest in that region. If Daniel had ended his fast too early, the answer would never have reached him. But he continued—his fasting sustained that spiritual battle. The answer finally came on the twenty-first day.
(Daniel 10:12–13 NIV)

Note: the twenty-one days of resistance corresponded exactly to three weeks of Daniel’s fasting.

So, if you’ve fasted and still haven’t seen an answer, don’t be discouraged. It might be that you stopped too soon. Fast again—maybe this time, the answer will reach you.

We might say, “End the fast when God answers you,” but only a few truly know when that moment has come.

Regular or long fasting adds more glow to our spirit in the unseen world.
